The author, “Robert N. Wilkin (PhD., Dallas Theological Seminary), is the Editor-in-Chief of Grace in Focus magazine and co-host of Grace in Focus Radio” (Wilkin, Faith Alone, back cover). Few theologians answer the question “What is the one condition of eternal salvation?” as definitively as Wilkin, even fewer have the heart of an evangelist.

Wilkin examines 73 crystal clear verses and 27 contextually clear verses revealing faith in Jesus as the only requirement for eternal salvation.

Over a hundred verses in the Bible teach that the sole condition of everlasting life that can never be lost is faith-alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. Apart from works. That message is the heart of the Christian faith. (Wilkin, Faith Alone, 8)

Of the 100 verses, the author discusses only one verse from the Old Testament, Genesis 15:6. From the New Testament, Wilkin expounds on 99 verses: Luke, 3 verses; John, 26; Acts, 13; Romans, 23; 1 Corinthians, 1; 2 Corinthians, 2; Galatians, 9; Ephesians, 2; Philippians, 2; 1Thessalonians, 2; 1Timothy, 1; 2 Timothy, 2; Titus, 1; Hebrews, 2; James, 2; 1 Peter, 1; 1 John, 4; and, Revelation, 3. The Apostles John and Paul with 33 and 44 verses respectively teach faith alone the most often of all New Testament writers. Nevertheless, Luke with 16 verses, the author of Hebrews, 2 verses, the Apostle James, 2 verses, and the Apostle Peter, 1 verse, all teach faith alone as the singular condition for eternal salvation.

A gifted and personable writer, Wilkin draws upon his own journey of faith to encourage other like-minded believers. As a special blessing, this work is thoroughly footnoted (bottom of the page, not endnotes) throughout. For those wishing to share the good news of eternal life with others and enjoy the gift of life more abundantly, Faith Alone in 100 Verses is an invaluable resource.
